Why Should Your Company use Music on Hold Services?

Music on hold services includes creative scripts and copywriting, updating notices and creative support. This is when the writers contact clients to update the production, professional voice talent, broadcasting quality recording and mixing, music licensing and releases, use and maintenance of digital playback equipment that is cassettes, media card or remote download and the subsequent delivery of regularly scheduled production updates.

Nobody likes silence. Some studies conducted recently report that the absence of sound or music during hold time results in an about sixty percent of callers hang-up within the first 60 seconds while if a song is being played then the caller gets busy in enjoying the music thus keeps on holding the phone. Radio is the simplest, cheapest way to eliminate silence during hold time. One just has to plug a radio into the system of the phone. It will be real good experience for the caller if the customer is able to hear the music channel of his choice with a clear channel reception. Customer will really appreciate the act. But it should be ensured that the customer is not made to listen to the boring commercials. As by this he will loose interest and get bored. Thus we can say that background music produces better results with callers than silence or radio broadcasts. No marketing value is provided by this.

Music while holding is an important part of processing of calls. Better results can be achieved by taking services from companies who professionally create and produce these messages. They really provide a cost effective method for better satisfaction of customers. There are companies who do not understand the benefits of music on hold or messages on hold yet. They still hold their callers in silence while few companies play the radio but these days more companies are realizing the advertising and customer service benefits of on-hold messages. In earlier times the operator used to say please hold and the caller started feeling sleepy and finally banged the phone down while the service provider was processing the customers request. This situation was really annoying for both customer and the employ of the company. But with music or messages on hold the caller is kept busy. By this act the problem of the caller is solved. He needs to visit the office for getting his work done. He can just sit at his desk and get all the things fixed without getting annoyed with the service provided by the companys employees. Thus workload of customer care executives gets reduced as their daily walk-ins are reduced. Just imagine what will be the situation if every caller bangs the phone down and then gets into the companys office to fight for his requests. It is really a difficult situation to imagine and manage too.
